The Federal Parliament Secretariat has officially unveiled its new ‘Digital Parliament’ platform, a strategic initiative aimed at enhancing the transparency and efficiency of legislative affairs. This digital system is designed to consolidate parliamentary information, service delivery, and historical archives into a single, user-friendly interface, ensuring that government activities are more accessible to the public.
The platform was inaugurated during a special ceremony by Speaker of the House of Representatives Dol Prasad Aryal and National Assembly Chairman Narayan Prasad Dahal. While the system is currently in its testing phase, it is expected to revolutionize how legislative data is managed, providing real-time insights into bill statuses and parliamentary discussions. The move marks a significant transition toward a more paperless and tech-driven governance model.
By implementing this digital framework, the Secretariat intends to foster a more accountable legislative environment. Officials noted that the platform will not only simplify administrative tasks but also empower citizens by providing them with direct access to the inner workings of the parliament, thereby strengthening the democratic process through improved information sharing.
