Former Home Minister and prominent Nepali Congress leader Bal Krishna Khand has been elected unopposed as a regional representative. This selection occurred during the party’s ward convention held on Sunday in Butwal Sub-metropolitan City, specifically within Ward No. 18 of the Rupandehi district.
Khand’s uncontested election as a regional representative marks a significant step in the party’s internal organizational process. His selection without opposition underscores his ongoing influence and support among the local party base in his home district as the party prepares for its broader assembly.
In addition to Khand’s election, the ward convention successfully formed a new local leadership team to guide the party’s efforts at the grassroots level. Chiranjivi Dhakal has been appointed as the Ward President, leading a newly established 15-member committee. This executive group will be responsible for managing local political activities and strengthening the party’s presence within the community.
