The Federal Parliament Secretariat has officially unveiled its new Digital Parliament Platform, a major initiative aimed at modernizing legislative procedures and enhancing public access to information. Launched on a trial basis, the platform is designed to make parliamentary data, services, and historical archives more systematic, transparent, and efficient. This move reflects a broader commitment to integrating technology into the heart of the country’s governance.

The pilot phase of the project was jointly inaugurated on Wednesday by the Speaker of the House of Representatives and the Chairperson of the National Assembly, Narayan Prasad Dahal. During the launch event, officials emphasized that the digital transition would bridge the gap between the legislature and the citizens, offering a more streamlined way to track parliamentary proceedings and institutional records.

According to Secretariat Spokesperson Ekram Giri, the new platform builds upon existing web services to provide a more comprehensive and user-friendly experience. By digitizing key workflows and documentation, the secretariat hopes to ensure that all legislative activities are well-documented and easily searchable, fostering a culture of openness and technological progress within the federal parliament.
