Following the devastating floods in the Bhote Koshi River on August 26 (Bhadra 10), authorities in Rasuwa have officially launched a data collection process to evaluate the resulting loss of life and property. To ensure a thorough investigation, a 25-member evaluation committee has been established, tasked with documenting the extent of the destruction across the affected regions.
The committee is headed by District Coordination Officer Rajendra Prasad Acharya. This decision was finalized during a recent meeting of the District Disaster Management Committee, presided over by Chief District Officer Kamal Prasad Pandey. The formation of this specialized team marks a critical step in coordinating relief and reconstruction efforts for the impacted communities.
According to CDO Pandey, the newly formed assessment team has been given a strict one-month deadline to compile and submit a preliminary report on the damages. This comprehensive data will serve as the foundation for future government assistance and long-term recovery plans in the district, ensuring that those affected by the natural disaster receive the necessary support.
