The Nepali Congress Central Election Committee has issued an official call for all active members and party leaders to engage enthusiastically in the upcoming ward-level conventions. Scheduled for Ashwin 3 and 4, these local elections represent the initial phase of the party’s internal democratic process leading up to the 15th General Convention.
This organizational milestone follows the decision of the Central Working Committee to host the national convention in Kathmandu from Ashwin 16 to 19. The ward elections are seen as a vital foundation for selecting local leadership and ensuring the party’s grassroots representation remains robust and dynamic.
According to a statement released by Raju Katuwal, the Member Secretary of the Election Committee, preparations are fully underway with election officers already deployed to all 77 districts. The committee encourages a high turnout to ensure that the selection process is transparent and reflects the collective will of the party’s dedicated membership across the nation.
