CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli has flatly refused to accept a report presented by a party task force, leading to the abrupt conclusion of a high-level meeting without any consensus. The refusal stems from Oli’s deep-seated suspicion that the recommendations are part of a calculated strategy to remove him from his leadership position.

During the session, Oli reportedly voiced his concerns that a proposal to convene the National Representative Council was a thinly veiled attempt to transform the gathering into a full-scale convention aimed at his dismissal. He accused his internal rivals of adopting tactics similar to those used by Nepali Congress leader Gagan Thapa, claiming he saw through the game being played against him.

With the Chairman standing his ground against what he perceives as a coordinated plot, the party’s internal dialogue has hit a significant roadblock. The failure to move forward with the task force’s findings underscores the deepening trust deficit and the volatile power dynamics currently at play within the CPN-UML leadership.
